This wedding was elegant and beautiful, done by the amazing Splendid Wedding Company team. Mirella & Ciaran had a very relaxed wedding day surrounded by friends and family at the beautiful Red Ivory Venue in Muldersdrift. A white, green and soft pink palette brought an earthy touch to this day.

WEDDING PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP | GAUTENG

This year's workshop was another one that I am so proud of! Thank you to all my students who came to the workshop, you girls were so awesome! I hope your businesses will flourish and I look forward to see what you guys are going to do in 2018 and 19!

My next workshop will only be next year as I have a very busy year ahead. If you cant wait till then, I do have 2 spots open for one-on-one sessions - from mid July, so book your spot. If you want to sign up for next years' workshop, I will open a link in the next two days.

This styled session we did was a Black on White palette, I have been wanting to do something like this for a while now, and it all worked out so beautifully! Have to send out the BIGGEST THANK YOU and best vibes for this wonderful creative team I collaborated with, this shoot was very different to what we have done before, but love the outcome, thank you for all your hard work!

SOUTH AFRICAN ELEPHANT SAFARI | COUPLE SHOOT

'Oh Africa, you have my Heart!' ~ Me

I had an amazing weekend with this beautiful couple, Greg & Rime from France. Greg Finck is one of my favourite photographers and I have been following his work for a couple of years. Rime Arodaky, who's work I saw through Greg, is a very talented wedding dress designer (SA, you want her dresses here in SA - lets get her to come open up a showroom here)! We finally met in March and I can honestly say Greg & Rime are such an amazing couple, down to earth and just warm people. They came to South Africa to relax and see a bit of our beautiful country. 

For their couple session we got to photograph them experiencing these gentle giants from Adventures with Elephants. These beautiful animals have been rescued after being called 'problem' elephants, but are living a peaceful life here at Adventures', and they are definitely not problem animals. Please go and visit their website or even their reserve to educate yourself on how lovely these giants are.

KWAGGA & ILKE SMITH | WEDDING

My last wedding for 2017 was at one of my favourite wedding venues (or should I just be completely honest and say; MY FAVOURITE VENUE). This place is magic, from the reception hall all the way to the honeymoon suite. The following wedding is also out in the SARIE Magazine this month.

And what better way to end it than with a highschool-sweetheart couple? Ilke & Kwagga tied the knot at Bordeaux Game Farm in Limpopo. It was the right in the middle of summer, but this day was absolutely perfect, even though it was hot, there was a light breeze to cool you down. Close family and friends joined in this celebration and one of my highlights was the ceremony, it was under a big beautiful Mopanie tree in an open field!

LUSH GREEN RAINY WEDDING PRETORIA

Happy Valentines day everyone! I wanted to share a very beautiful and different wedding with you today. This is Matthew & Justine's wedding, on their private estate in Pretoria. I absolutely loved this wedding because it wasn't the normal set-up, it was probably the most entertaining wedding ever! And it rained, a lot, but the rain was of no concern to this bride and groom, they were there to enjoy a spectacular day with friends and family!

Now, just imagine you get to a wedding and your favourite South African band is playing there (like, a private rock show with just you and your friends and family) hello Gangs of Ballet...., oh and did I mention, it wasn't just one band that played...there were 3 bands and a DJ!

I had the privilege of photographing Graham & Ly's engagement session in their neighborhood in Toronto, Canada. This shoot was urban bliss and it was fantastic sharing the day with these two - I definitely have to go back to Canada again soon! Next time maybe when it is a bit warmer ;)
