With so much uncertainty out there it feels kind of silly blogging, but being confined to your home is no easy task, and in the end keeping yourself busy, keeps your mind off doomsday thoughts. So here is a little distraction to hopefully make your home quarantine a little easier. This is the ideal time to practice Slow Living so please be safe and stay home, go out for necessity only. Keep yourself busy with things you have been wanting to do around the house, check out this pin board of things to do with your kids, read a book or cuddle with your furries!
About 8 weeks ago I did this shoot and it was so amazing being part of Melissa & Antonie’s adventure for the past 3 years. These two have expanded their family with two beautiful fur babies, Lexi and Lana (Shetland Sheepdogs). They are so sweet and cute it just makes me want to hug them!

Greg Finck & Rime Arodaky on their wild adventure with the beautiful gentle giants. What an amazing African experience.

I had an amazing weekend with this beautiful couple, Greg & Rime from France. Greg Finck is one of my favourite photographers and I have been following his work for a couple of years. Rime Arodaky, who's work I saw through Greg, is a very talented wedding dress designer (SA, you want her dresses here in SA - lets get her to come open up a showroom here)! We finally met in March and I can honestly say Greg & Rime are such an amazing couple, down to earth and just warm people. They came to South Africa to relax and see a bit of our beautiful country.
For their couple session we got to photograph them experiencing these gentle giants from Adventures with Elephants. These beautiful animals have been rescued after being called 'problem' elephants, but are living a peaceful life here at Adventures', and they are definitely not problem animals. Please go and visit their website or even their reserve to educate yourself on how lovely these giants are.

Nina booked me for her personal portrait session while I was visiting Dubai. Portrait sessions are so important, we often forget to take note of our lives at a certain point of our lives, we either feel it is silly or we are scared that people would think we love ourselves too much, but we should always love ourselves and be proud of who we are, in this moment, right now, at this stage of our lives. Nina, you are absolutely beautiful, inside and out. I had a smile on my face throughout editing this session. I hope to see you again soon and so happy that I have made a new friend.

After my workshop I decided that I had to shoot something for me, something good & simple. This shoot was inspired by things I found around my house and with people who I create with often. Thank you to Jana, Jolindi & Leandri for all your help on this shoot!

RENSCHE MARI WORKSHOP PART 1
The first Rensche Mari Workshop was held at Bordeaux Game farm, a 4 day retreat with a lot of photo sessions and learning all about Wedding Photography.
Putting together a workshop is hard work, but having a great team to help is always amazing! My 2016 Rensche Mari Wedding workshop held at Bordeaux Game Farm was a great experience and wonderful week spent with creatives from all over. I hope they wont mind if I have the next one here again.
