Last year, I was shooting a wedding for Zavion and stayed over at Inimitable. The next morning, Zavion took me to a new space he was developing. I arrived at a site that was just starting to take shape—heaps of ground, foundations going in, the beginnings of something truly massive. As Zavion shared his vision for this space, I felt my heart race with excitement. This incredible human has a gift for turning everything he touches to gold. I saw the site once more before it was completed and was shocked at how quickly it was transforming. Fast forward a few months, and here I was, stepping into the reality of what was once just a dream.
When I arrived at Stay by Inimitable, I knew I was stepping into a beautiful space, but I wasn’t prepared for how truly awe-inspiring it would be. From the moment I walked in, I was captivated by the seamless blend of elegance and modern design. As a photographer, I’m constantly on the lookout for spaces that capture light beautifully, and this venue does just that. Walking into the room I immediately knew this will be one of those weddings, you know, the one where fun is the main agenda. The love is evident in these moments I captured!
The vibe of this wedding screams awesome and I could not help but have a smile on my face as each part of the day was happening.
That being said, it also helped that an amazing team of creatives was behind the execution and success of this beautiful day, shout out to all them.

BLACK & WHITE WEDDING SPECTACULAR
This was possibly one of the most spectacular things I saw in 2020, just before lockdown hit I had the amazing opportunity to shoot for my friends, the Zavion Kotze Events Company. They took everyone’s breath away with this black and white wedding decor setup at The Four Seasons West Cliff in Johannesburg.
I have to confess that since the start of lockdown it been so difficult and depressing to blog, because our industry felt so hopeless. Now as things are starting to pick up again, I am taking a little throwback to when the world was a different place. This is just a sneak peak of the beautiful post-wedding reception from 2020 pre-lockdown, and it is one of those events that gets you all excited about being creative.
Fudhail & Humaira celebrated their union at The Four Seasons in Westcliff Johannesburg and the epic planning and styling was done by none other than the Zavion Kotze Events team. The theme was black & white, like you have never seen before.

It is hard to imagine that we are in August already, months have passed since Lockdown started and my last wedding before Lockdown feels like a lifetime ago but July has been good to me and I got to work on a couple of projects, one of which was this gorgeous elopement.
It feels exhilarating being able to capture my client’s memories again. I had the great pleasure of photographing Anele & Noxy’s elopement shoot and it was nothing short of spectacular.

Winter in KZN is always perfect for weddings. Hilma & Inge’s wedding day was stunning, even though it was a very windy day, the sun was shining and everyone was having a good time. They tied the knot at Olwandle Estate near Ballito overlooking the beautiful Indian Ocean. It was a beautiful day that became breathtaking after a December afternoon thunder shower. In my 14 years as a wedding photographer, I have never seen a sunset quite like this one. Inimitable Wedding Venue in Muldersdrift will surely bring us many more of these spectacular sunsets, so excited to be shooting here!
This was the Portuguese and Greek wedding of Roxanne and Angelo! This couple is definitely setting a trend, a fusion of classic and metro fashion. Roxanne looked elegant in her classic wedding gown with her long hair flowing down her neck and the bridesmaids complimented her beautifully, Angelo looked dashing in black tie with a Pompadour haircut that not many men can pull off.

I loved the couple’s lifesize floral initials at the canapé area. The Zavion Kotze Events team decorated the venue with subtle touches of rose gold, beautiful greenery,white florals and a lush hanging arrangement. The cherry on top; amazing food by Andrew Draper and the captivating and enjoyable experience at end of the evening with Greek dances; there is always so much emotion going around and crockery-bits flying next to your face ;) Scroll down to enjoy this beautiful event!

Cherése wore a gown by the talented Gert Johan Coetzee, the dress fit like a glove and came with a 8 meter long vail, her posh ponytail completed her look and I even thought she might look a little like Khaleesi from Game of thrones, do you agree?
And the cherry on top? Well it was my first wedding at Inimitable Wedding Venue (after it was finished). If you are on the look out for a stunning backdrop with great service and food, this is the place to be!
