Chris & Victoria had a stunning wedding day this summer in Johannesburg at Shepstone Gardens, the day was designed and styled by Eve from Splendid Wedding Company. The gorgeous floating floral arch at the ceremony site was an instant favourite and the brides sleek wedding dress with back detail took everyone’s breath away, it was a perfect way to get back into the wedding season.

This wedding was elegant and beautiful, done by the amazing Splendid Wedding Company team. Mirella & Ciaran had a very relaxed wedding day surrounded by friends and family at the beautiful Red Ivory Venue in Muldersdrift. A white, green and soft pink palette brought an earthy touch to this day.

This styled session we did was a Black on White palette, I have been wanting to do something like this for a while now, and it all worked out so beautifully! Have to send out the BIGGEST THANK YOU and best vibes for this wonderful creative team I collaborated with, this shoot was very different to what we have done before, but love the outcome, thank you for all your hard work!

So Happy that I got to shoot this wedding, planned & styled by beautiful friend, Eve from the wonderfully Splendid Wedding Company! Hanging florals and a beautiful reception is what dreams are made of, oh wait, I forgot to mention this stunning couple, Andy & Amanda, (and 5 kids) they all looked beautiful.
Second last wedding for the 2016, is a first for me. This was my first wedding (in the 12 years of being a wedding photographer), that I shot at Summer Place in Johannesburg. I have done 2 styled shoots and shot the wedding friends event here, but that is where it ends.

My little brother got married...it's strange, to see your baby brother become a man, he is 7 years my junior and I used to look after my two younger brothers a lot when we were younger and when we got older, so in my mind they stay kids.
I think one of my favourite feelings is laughing with someone and realising half way through how much you enjoy them and their existence ~ Unknown
My little brother got married...it's strange, to see your baby brother become a man, he is 7 years my junior and I used to look after my two younger brothers a lot when we were younger and when we got older, so in my mind they stay kids.
I think of the four kids, he is probably the most romantic one, he was always the one giving hugs and kisses as a baby (on demand, so we asked regularly). About four years ago, he said something to me that I will never forget, the two of us got in the car to go meet our new born baby nephew, Carl, the first grandchild. I remember that day so clearly, we were all extremely excited! On the way there I asked him if he ever wanted children and his response threw me back a bit (I don't know why, Charlie and I have always been great with children), he said: 'Rensche, I can't wait to have a family' Seeing Carl made him more excited for his own life.
So far, that is one of my sweetest memories of him!
Charlie, I hope that you and Biance will be blessed with a big loving family, that you will give your hugs as freely as you always do. I hope that the two of you will always have laughter in your life and share it with those around you!

RENSCHE MARI WORKSHOP PART 2
The first Rensche Mari workshop for 2016 was the Retreat at Bordeaux Game Farm.
I loved the group of girls I got to teach and hope that I will be able to do this again soon. To every person who helped with this workshop, thank you. It is wonderful to do what you love!
A very big thank you to Eve, from Splendid Wedding Company, you are a wonderful friend and artist - this was the 3rd workshop where you styled the tables for the styled shoot and I just have to say that every time you do something it WOW's me! I am so happy that you are my friend, and that I get to talk to you every single day :D
Jana, from Silver Swallow, thank you for the touch of elegant flow you bring to my workshop every single year...I'm counting and we have worked together now for 5 years, since the first workshop. Every time you create a garment I just want to photograph it - over and over again. This dress was photographed again after the workshop and I look forward to sharing that too!

RENSCHE MARI WORKSHOP PART 1
The first Rensche Mari Workshop was held at Bordeaux Game farm, a 4 day retreat with a lot of photo sessions and learning all about Wedding Photography.
Putting together a workshop is hard work, but having a great team to help is always amazing! My 2016 Rensche Mari Wedding workshop held at Bordeaux Game Farm was a great experience and wonderful week spent with creatives from all over. I hope they wont mind if I have the next one here again.
